This year-end appeal does some things CF&P had not done before.

  • It has a matching funds offer. Matching funds came from a very successful earlier campaign that asked mid-value and major donors to encourage others to give by creating a matching fund.

  • It “personified” the challenges facing Connecticut’s woodlands by focusing on a single indicator species, the blue-spotted salamander. The pack includes a letter from “Sal,” a salamander, asking donors to protect the forest they love.
